After spending hours mixing paint to achieve a very specific salmon pink, I had a solid sheet of colour which I couldn't bear to paint over. So I cut the canvas into strips instead. The strips curled, pulled by the paint on one side. At this point, I think it was just serendipitous that I had leftover garden fencing lying around. I had been thinking about using it as a grid somehow and here was a perfect opportunity. I love how it turned out looking like the sketch of a Roman column but also hangs like a 3D skeleton.
